The Breakout Box
Transmission solenoid testing couldn't be easier with the new breakout box exclusively from Schaffer® Test Products. Just connect the box to the transmission harness, and you're ready to start testing.
The Schaffer breakout box works with the same harness adapters as the Schaffer Shifter, so there are no extra connectors or harnesses to buy. Just switch the wiring over from your Schaffer Shifter to your breakout box, and you're ready to start testing using your own meter.
The Schaffer breakout box comes with a special manual that identifies each terminal on the box. In seconds, you're testing solenoids, force motors, temperature sensors—virtually all of the electrical components in the transmissions.
Most electrical experts agree that the best way to test electrical components is amperage. With the Schaffer breakout box you can run more than resistance tests. The Schaffer breakout box also provides a power input: just plug in your power cord from the Schaffer Shifter, and you're testing amperage draw.
